The Level 4 programme (NFQ Level 6), provides a credible programme of study to support learners in being competent in the measuring, monitoring and managing of carbon emission reduction
This is an online programme with support from the 50 Shades Greener Team throughout the entirety your studies
Upon successful completion;
- Learners will be able to source employment in roles related to the development of environmental green management systems in the hospitality sector
- Learners will have the skills, knowledge and competence required to develop an environmental management system including developing key performance indicators for energy, water, waste and CO2
Programme Aims
This programme has been developed to upskill people working within the hospitality industry to become the ‘Green Managers‘ of the future. It is designed to empower learners to make a real difference to their workplace by providing the training to deliver meaningful environmental improvements within their hospitality property
It will:
- Introduce the skills required to develop an environmental management system, including developing key performance indicators for energy, water, waste and CO2
- Provides learners with an understanding, theoretical and practical skills to enable the implementation and management of the three pillars of sustainability (energy, water and waste)
- Provides learners with the skills to develop, train and manage a sustainable green team within a business
- Provides learners with the skills and knowledge to actively promote a business in a green economy
- Enables learners to understand how any business operating within a built environment contributes to CO2 emissions
- Enables learners to understand why and how behavioural change within a team reduces CO2 emissions
